Resolutions or RE:Solutions? You pick.

Not into New Year’s Resolutions? That’s fine by me. I’m not here to guilt you into writing a list you’ll forget by February anyway. But let me introduce you to something far more critical: Re: Solutions. You see, every year in business comes with its own set of plot twists, challenges, and unexpected detours. The key isn’t about setting a resolution to lose 20 pounds or finally conquer Inbox Zero (though good luck to ya if that’s on your list). It’s about creatively crafting solutions—for your vision, goals, and those pesky obstacles life throws your way.

Over Christmas break, I caught a movie called The Forge. There was a line in it about prayer that hit me square between the eyes. It went something like this:

“We treat prayer like it’s air for our tires when they’re low, but prayer is meant to be the steering wheel of our lives.”

Whew, talk about perspective! It got me thinking—where else in life do we pull out the emergency fix instead of steering with intention?

One word kept coming up: Clarity. So many leaders I work with—whether they’re seasoned executives or budding go-getters—struggle with clarity about where they are today. Sure - they will get real clear if the bank account is drying up or if that client they thought would never cancel, cancelled. But what about in the non-emergency moments? What about in the average day of running their business?

Yeah - not so clear.

I’ll ask a few straightforward questions, and more often than not, I’ll hear, “You know, I’m not actually sure. We haven’t looked at those metrics.” Here’s the thing: You likely know where you want to go—more revenue, healthier profit margins, a killer impact on your clients, a culture that actually connects people…but do you know where you’re starting from?

Let me put it another way: If I asked you for a clear snapshot of your customer lifecycle funnel right now, could you give it to me? Don’t feel bad if the answer is no. You’re not alone. 70% of leaders admit they’re unclear on their customer lifecycle funnel specifics. But here’s the kicker: Clarity is where every great solution starts. Without it, you’re just throwing darts in the dark and hoping to hit the bullseye.

Now, if you’re our client, you know this is step one for us. The first thing we do when you hire us is take a Polaroid picture of your organization as it stands today—no makeup, no filters—just the raw truth. Then, we compare that snapshot to your big-picture vision. That’s how we figure out the most strategic path forward. It’s good stewardship, plain and simple. And here’s what most people don’t realize: This isn’t a one-and-done exercise. Like your annual health checkup (complete with lab work you’d rather not think about), you must regularly assess your business. Otherwise, how do you know if you’re progressing or just spinning your wheels in neutral?

So, here’s my challenge to you: Whether you work with us or take this on yourself, get your Foundation Score done for 2025.

Think of it as your business’s annual checkup—a way to start the year knowing exactly where you stand so you can set an intentional course to 2026. If you’re ready to take action, we’ve got a Foundation Session tailored for you. It’s $550 and takes less than four hours between your prep work and co-lab time with us. That’s a small investment for clarity that delivers a big impact.

Ready to steer instead of react?

Book your session here, and let’s get that snapshot in place. Knowing where you are is the first step to getting where you want to go.
